Una rivolta contro il mondo post-moderno: così potrebbe essere definito questo libro, manualetto per orientarsi in una realtà che ha travolto i sistemi di riferimento tradizionali, gettando l’umanità in un mondo liquido e spersonalizzato. Il post-moderno fa a pezzi i princìpi moderni, che, a loro volta, sono la negazione del mondo della Tradizione. Nasce così la società dei cyborg, della dissoluzione, della pandemia del gender, della virtualizzazione delle esistenze. Qui tutto è “post”: post-scienza, post-umano, post-politica… Il post-moderno è l’apocalisse dei popoli, l’ultimo atto della civiltà, la Grande Mezzanotte dell’Essere.

Per reagire a questo stato di cose, è fallimentare affidarsi a vecchi valori, resuscitando princìpi che hanno dichiarato bancarotta, messi al bando dalla necessità della Storia. Nasce proprio da questa consapevolezza l’idea di un Soggetto Radicale, che si manifesta quando tutto sembra perduto, facendo capolino solo alla chiusura dei cicli. Presente, in modo più o meno visibile, anche nelle altre fasi – cioè nel mondo premoderno e moderno –, il Soggetto Radicale è un’istanza che si mantiene identica a se stessa, indifferente all’avvicendarsi dei secoli, ai giochi politici, allo scorrere delle epoche. Nel processo discendente della storia – che, secondo la Tradizione, non è un processo verso il “migliore dei mondi possibili” ma una caduta, un allontanamento dalla sacralità originaria – il Soggetto Radicale si mantiene fermo, nell’occhio del ciclone, dove regna una singolare calma. Ed è proprio quando subentra il postmoderno che ritrova la sua signoria originaria. Versione “aggiornata” dell’Uomo differenziato, protagonista di Cavalcare la tigre di Julius Evola, il Soggetto Radicale è un Sole che si accende nel cuore della notte, quando il ricordo della Tradizione è completamente svanito, quando la post-modernità trionfa ovunque. Solo allora si manifesta, alchimia della Fine dei Tempi, nonché promessa di un Nuovo Inizio.
